Psychotropic
Architecural model, plexiglas, dichroic film
80 cm x 70 cm x 35 cm
2021-2022

Inspired by the «psychotropic architectures» described by British science fiction writer J.G. Ballard, in the short story The Thousands Dreams Of Stellavista (1971). This psychotropic house is an architectural model that projects my interpretation of the architecture imagined by the writer in the novel. A building that depicts eerie visions with memory cells, who interpretively registers and responds to the moods and memories of its occupant. This model is designed to produce through lights reflexion, the psychological state of the person who lives there.

Installation view during the exhibition : Antonio’s Dream: a Journey Through Art and Textile, at Fondazione Antonio Ratti, 2021/2022
